Introducing Jump Start . . . |
Activities |
Jump Start is an early literacy programme to provide a strong foundation for learning for our five and six year old students. Our School Entry Assessment is used to identify students who would benefit from receiving the additional literacy support that Jump Start provides. We use a wide range of multi-sensory activities to teach and reinforce the specific skills Jump Start students are learning. The programme is individualised and developed to meet the specific learning needs of each student.
The year to dateThis year, eleven students have benefited from Jump Start, nine of whom have already completed their lesson series and graduated from the programme! Jump Start students love the variety of meaningful activities we use to reinforce the skills being taught.
Some of the favourite activities were: Samuel: "Playing with dinosaurs." Pieta: "Throwing the frog." Jacob: "Memory games and POP." |
